Economic challenges, such as limited employment opportunities and low agricultural incomes, compel many Oaxacans to seek better prospects elsewhere. Social factors, like limited access to education and healthcare, further motivate individuals to migrate. Political instability and insufficient government support in certain regions also contribute to this trend. The consequences of migration are multifaceted. On the positive side, remittances sent by migrants boost local economies and fund community projects. Conversely, the exodus of working-age individuals leads to depopulation in rural areas, labor loss, and cultural changes.
